OkMOM is a two-day free dental clinic event designed to meet the critical needs of patients by providing donated dental care to as many adults and children as time and volunteers will allow. Treatment is given on a first-come, first-served basis and there is no eligibility or income requirement to seek treatment.
The event is a fully-functional dental facility with 100 patient chairs, and offers a variety of services including cleanings, fillings, extractions, limited anterior (front teeth) crowns, and very limited dental flippers (temporary replacement of front teeth).
Thanks to volunteer dental professionals and others, OkMOM has treated a total of 16,138 patients across the state since 2010. OkMOM events have been held in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, McAlester, Lawton, Enid, Woodward, and Durant.
With an annual budget of about $150,000, each OkMOM event delivers more than $1.2 million worth of donated dental services!
After 11 successful OkMOM events, we will skip 2021 out of an abundance of caution regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. The next OkMOM will be held in February 2022 in Shawnee. See you then!

To commemorate this milestone, Delta Dental of Oklahoma commissioned a painting by Oklahoma City artist and muralist Kristopher Kanaly. “Celebrate Oklahoma Smiles” depicts healthy smiles amongst familiar Oklahoma landmarks and icons in Mr. Kanaly’s unique style of collage, ultra flat abstractions and high contrast colors. Mr. Kanaly is the founder of the Oklahoma Mural Syndicate and the lead curator of the Plaza Walls mural project, Oklahoma City’s premier outdoor gallery, and his murals can be found throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation (DDOKF) is proud to partner with the Oklahoma Dental Association (ODA) and the Oklahoma Dental Foundation (ODF) to produce this annual event. ODA organizes and operates the event and recruits crucial volunteers; and ODF serves as fiscal sponsor and raises local funds. DDOKF contributes $100,000 each year and dozens of Delta Dental employees volunteer. Thousands of dollars in cash, supplies, food, and other items are donated by generous sponsors.
